In your journal or on a separate sheet of paper, write a letter to someone that you admire. This admirable person may be someone who you know very well, someone you currently connect with or have connected with in the past, someone you have never met, someone famous or someone who is no longer in your everyday life. Think about the qualities that you admire in your person and how your person has impacted you. In your letter, try to include or reflect on the following questions:
- What do I admire about my person?
- What qualities and strengths does my person possess?
- How has my person changed my life or influenced me in a positive way?
This process is open-ended. If your admirable person is a part of your life, feel free to share your letter, but remember that this is a journaling exercise and there is no pressure to share.
